Operation Azra

Just briefly, what we're upto this time around is to help support Azra who was horrendously wounded when her brother in law threw acid on her during an argument.Azra's suffering is brought to our attention by photo journalist Stephanie Sinclair who photographed Azra in 2005 at a shelter in Lahore, Pakistan. Azra was so ashamed of her appearance that she refused to eat with the other residents and cried every time she had to show her face.  Wanting to help more than telling her story alone, Stephanie contacted the French NGO HumaniTerra, which agreed to provide Azra reconstructive surgery for free starting  July 2. She will spend three-months in the hospital receiving multiple skin grafts.  However, transportation and her stay in France will still be costly and so funds are needed to help support Azra and her family who will be traveling with her.Currently, there's an online print auction and a suggested donation of $10 at the door.  More info can be found online at the link below.  Hope to see you there.  If you can't make it, then you can add your support by donating online.
